Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated August 20, 2026

This policy covers what you can and can't sell or do on Link Drop. It works alongside our Terms of Service — breaking these rules is a breach of the Terms.

§Contents6 sections
01

Documents only

Link Drop is for documents: PDF, TXT, MD, CSV, XLSX, PPTX and DOCX, up to 25 MB each. Images, video, audio, archives (ZIP and the like) and executables are rejected at upload. Text and documents are cheap to store and hard to abuse — that's the whole reason for the rule.

02

Only sell what's yours

You may only list files you created or are licensed to sell. Don't upload pirated books, leaked reports, paywalled material, or anyone else's work passed off as your own.

03

Prohibited content

You may not upload, sell, or distribute:

  • Anything illegal, or content that facilitates illegal activity, fraud, or violence.
  • Stolen, pirated, leaked, or otherwise infringing material.
  • Other people's private or personal data without consent — scraped contact lists, doxxing files, breach dumps, or regulated data you aren't permitted to share.
  • Sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance; we report it to the authorities.
  • Malware, or files engineered to exploit, mislead, or harm whoever opens them.
  • Content that harasses, threatens, or incites hatred or violence against people or groups.
  • Misleading listings — a title or description that doesn't match the file, or 'bait' drops.
04

Prohibited conduct

  • Reselling another seller's drop, or buying to redistribute against the listing's license.
  • Manipulating reviews, ratings, or sales counts — including reviewing your own drops.
  • Circumventing fees or payouts.
  • Abusing the API, scraping, or evading rate limits and access controls.
  • Impersonating another person, brand, or seller.
05

How we enforce this

When a drop or account breaks these rules we may remove the content, withhold or reverse payouts on offending sales, suspend or close the account, and where the law requires it, report the matter to the authorities. Serious or repeated violations lead to a permanent ban.

06

Reporting a problem

Every drop has a report button — use it to flag spam, stolen or illegal content, or a misleading listing. You can also email support@mail.linkdropapp.com. We review reports and act on the ones that break these rules.
