Terms of Service

Last updated August 20, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Link Drop at linkdropapp.com — as a seller listing documents, a buyer purchasing them, or simply a visitor. We've kept them in plain English.

§Contents13 sections
01

What Link Drop is

Link Drop is a marketplace for documents, operated by JCIT Systems LLC, a New York limited liability company ("JCIT Systems LLC," "we," "us"). Sellers upload files, set a price, and share a link; buyers pay and download. We provide the hosting, the checkout, and the delivery — we are not the author or publisher of what sellers list, and we are not a party to the sale between a buyer and a seller.

By creating an account, uploading a file, or buying a drop, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Link Drop.

02

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to sell or buy. Sellers sign in with a magic link (and can add a passkey); you're responsible for keeping access to your email and for everything done under your account.

Buyers don't need an account. Checkout runs on Stripe and only asks for what's needed to charge your card and email you the file.

03

Selling on Link Drop

You may only list files you own or are licensed to sell. Documents only — PDF, TXT, MD, CSV, XLSX, PPTX and DOCX — up to 25 MB each, twenty files per drop. What you may and may not list is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

You set the price, from $1 to $500, or list it free. You can change the price at any time; anyone who already bought keeps access at what they paid. Your listing's title, description and file type must accurately describe what the buyer receives.

  • You keep 80% of each sale. Link Drop retains 20% to cover card processing, storage and the tax we owe on our share.
  • Payouts are made through Stripe Connect; you must complete Stripe onboarding to receive money.
  • A sale's earnings clear after a short hold, then pay out weekly by default. Instant payouts (for a small fee) unlock once your account is established.
  • You bear the cost of refunds and chargebacks on your sales — the amount is deducted from your balance, reversed from your connected account, or recovered from future payouts if you've already been paid.
  • You are responsible for any taxes you owe on your earnings.
04

Buying a drop

A purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the file as the listing describes. Unless the seller states otherwise, you may not redistribute, resell, or publish the file. Read the listing before you buy — the seller, not Link Drop, decides what's inside.

Delivery is immediate: once payment clears, you get a signed, short-lived download link and an emailed copy. If a link expires before you download, your purchase stays valid for 30 days and you can request a fresh link from the receipt.

05

Refunds and chargebacks

Drops are digital goods, downloaded instantly, so all sales are final except in the limited cases below. Because a file cannot be returned once it has been delivered, we do not refund a change of mind, a purchase you no longer want, or a file that simply wasn't as useful as you'd hoped.

We will consider a refund only where a purchase was genuinely faulty — the file never downloaded, arrived corrupted or unreadable, or was materially different from what the listing described. These requests are reviewed individually and must include evidence of the problem, such as a screenshot or a clear description of the error and what you expected. Submit a request through our Support page (linkdropapp.com/support) within 14 days of purchase; we may ask for more detail, and refunds are granted at our reasonable discretion once the problem is verified.

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and download access ends. Come to us before filing a card dispute — a chargeback opened instead of a refund request may result in your access being revoked, and disputes are assessed on the same evidence as a refund.

Sellers bear the cost of refunds and chargebacks on their own sales. When a sale is refunded, or a card dispute is opened or resolved against it, that sale's amount is removed from the seller's balance; if the seller has already been paid, we may reverse the transfer to recover it from their connected account, and any remainder is recovered from their future payouts. To make this workable, a sale's earnings clear after a short hold before they can be paid out, a disputed sale is held until it resolves, and instant payouts are available only once an account is established.

06

Content and conduct

You may not upload, sell, or use Link Drop for anything prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy — including content you don't have the rights to, illegal material, other people's private data, or malware. We can remove any drop and suspend any account that breaks these rules, and we may do so without notice where the law or user safety requires it.

07

Intellectual property and takedowns

Sellers keep ownership of what they upload and grant Link Drop only the limited license needed to store, display and deliver it to buyers. If you believe a drop infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@mail.linkdropapp.com identifying the work and the drop, and we'll act on valid notices, including removing infringing content and terminating repeat infringers.

08

Payments and processors

Payments are processed by Stripe, and payouts run through Stripe Connect. Link Drop never stores your full card number. By buying or selling, you also agree to Stripe's terms. We calculate and deduct our 20% at the time of sale.

09

Disclaimers

Link Drop is provided "as is" and "as available." We host and deliver files, but we do not review every listing and do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality or usefulness of anything a seller lists. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.

10

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Link Drop and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

11

Termination

You can stop using Link Drop at any time and delete your drops from your dashboard; buyers who already purchased keep access for 30 days. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required to protect users or comply with the law.

12

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use Link Drop after an update means you accept the new Terms.

13

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms go to support@mail.linkdropapp.com.
